This latest collection was inspired by a trip to Moosehead Lake, in Greenville, Maine.
The hues found in nature; the leaves, the flowers, the berries, take on deeper and richer tones this time of year.
I got together for a long weekend with dear, old college friends. We laughed, cried, ate really well, took long hikes and swam in the lake. This all took place in an old rustic cabin, where you can hear the call of the loon and the gentle lapping of waves against the rocky shore.
The larger shams below are made from salvaged Pendleton Wool blankets with fringe. Factory seconds, upcycled and combined with crisp cotton white canvas and striped ticking.
This stunning creature allowed us to take in his tender beauty.
The pillows below, Mille Fleur, feature deer running throught the forest. They are grouped with faux sheep fur, a gray plaid, and vintage macrame pillows made from a salvaged blanket.
Time slows down long enough to where you want to pick up a good book or draw the handful of wild flowers you picked that day.
These pillows are limited edition, mid-century finds. The thick vevet pillows have a chunky brass zipper and pair nicely with the autumn-toned floral.
Golden hues, deep blues, richly patterned textiles, luscious velvets, and soft wool plaids add comfort, as the crackling fire warms the evening air and the smell of cedar fills the cabin.
