a well lived house

Went to visit my mother-in-law, Annie,  who works at NEW LEAF NURSERY (http://www.newleafgreenhouse.com/) for her dear friend, Ginger.  As her website says, it is a boutique nursery and country garden store.    Every visit serves to inspire  because Ginger started up this phenomenal business by herself and has made it into an impressive empire of greenhouses.  Her two daughters are wonderfully smart and artsy having grown up with their industrious and hardworking  mom.

Ginger also has a ceramics studio/business on the grounds called INSOMNIA POTTERY where she creates wonderful ceramic wares she sells at fairs and through galleries.  The view from her studio is pastoral, rustic, green and a breath of fresh air.  Its always fun to visit Granny Annie who knows an infinite amount of stuff about plants,  provides wonderful tours as well as helps propagate and grow the plants.

The kids get to pretend shop, loading up the cashier table and take rides in the plant carts.

This gives you a sense of the place as you enter.  Feels nice to catch your breath and feel like you are out in the country.  Once off the highway, the ride out there is through rolling farmland and past other nurseries.  I will visit again and try to capture the place better once the plants are really thriving and business is buzzing.
